Danny was named in honour of Darragh's father, Danny Walker, an Irish tinker who taught Darragh to play the pipes and some of his success with horses. He lives with her family on the sacred island called the Needle. He has inherited his father's skills in music and his love for the water. Danny spends time with playing games, swimmin and playing music with his father and sister. Fainne believes that her son might one day leave them, but his second home will always be in the water. In this way is could be suggested that Danny may have also inherited his father's selkie nature and transformations.
