She is the main character of Seer of Sevenwaters.
Sibeal is first seen in Child of the Prophecy, when Fainne visits Sevenwaters. She warns Fainne to 'beware of cats' and is saved by Fainne when she falls off her horse while returning from Eamonn's holding. At the end of the novel Ciaran agrees to tutor Sibeal to prepare her to become a druid.
In Heir to Sevenwaters, Sibeal is twelve years old, and is the only person who believes Clodagh when she claims that Finbar was abducted by the Fair Folk. Both she and Ciaran aid Clodagh in her quest to rescue Cathal at the end of the novel. When Sibeal discovers Clodagh's love for Cathal she is surprised, having thought that Aidan was more her type.
In Seer of Sevenwaters, Sibeal is sixteen and ready to make her vows as a druid. However, Ciaran first sends her to Inis Eala to visit her sisters Muirrin and Clodagh, so that she can see what she will be missing if she chooses to become a druid. There, Sibeal becomes embroiled in a mystery. Just a day after her arrival there is a shipwreck off the coast of the island, and two survivors are welcomed into the community. Sibeal rescues a young man from drowning in the ocean, and because he is unable to speak his name and identity (as he has amnesia), she christens him Ardal. She grows to care for the man deeply, and helps Gull look after him in the infirmary.
Sibeal is small and slight, with dark hair and seer-grey eyes.
